This is to officially notify all Nigerian Nationals in Belgium and Luxembourg that the machine for the new Electronic Passport (E- PASSPORT) has been installed at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Brussels, Belgium. The Embassy has therefore commenced issuance of the New E-Passport in Brussels.
Nigerian Nationals in Belgium and Luxembourg, who do not have the E-Passport, are therefore, by this notice advised to take this opportunity to process their Passport at the Embassy.
REQUIRMENTS FOR E-PASSPORT APPLICATION
The following are the general requirements for E-Passport application:-
- Applicants should complete Application Form online on www.
immigration.gov.ng;
- Applicants should attach Guarantor’s Form which is generated
online, printed and filled with pen. A Guarantor must attach photocopy of data page of his/her standard Nigeria Passport, driver’s license or National ID plus one colour passport photograph;
- Applicants should Pay online official passport fee of $65.00;
- Applicants should print-out and submit to the Embassy, duly
completed application form, acknowledgement slip and Payment Confirmation slip;
- For minors (children under 16 years of age), Guarantor’s form
is not required. However, the Father’s letter of consent as well as photocopy of the data page of his passport should be attached;
- Photocopy of data page of previous Nigerian Passport should
be attached and main passport presented for citing;
- Applicants should attach receipt of payment of Administrative
service Charge of €30.00 to the Embassy;
- Applicants (adults) who do not have the previous Machine
Readable Passport (MRP), or whose previous passports are lost, will pay additional service charge of €170.00 (one hundred and seventy Euros), prior to submission of completed application form;
- All completed online application forms should in addition to
the above-listed items, be accompanied with 2 (two) recent colored passport photographs and copy of applicant’s Birth certificate/Sworn declaration of age and submitted to the Embassy for processing;
- Applicants who meet the above requirements shall be invited
by appointment for enrolment and image capturing;
- Date of passport collection shall be communicated to the
applicant after capturing;
- Applications for Re-Issue of E-Passport shall be documented
and referred to the Immigration Headquarters in Nigeria.
