Friday, 13th January 2012:    Nigerians in Belgium staged  a
peaceful demonstration to the Embassy on the removal of
fuel subsidy

•        Received by the Ambassador and Staff (click here for picture)
•        A letter addressed to President Goodluck Jonathan was read
by representative of the Nigerians and eventually handed over to
the Ambassador for onward transmission to Abuja
•        The Ambassador admonished them and assured that money
realized from the withdrawal would be properly and transparently
utilized for the good of all against serving the interests of a few
cabal.
•        He also assured of more Town Hall Meetings to dialogue with
all Nigerians on the current developments and increasing security
challenges in Nigeria
